CSI New York was launched from the popular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation television show. This series began with the introduction in which Horatio Caine left Miami and traveled to New York City in order to find a murder suspect that fled Miami. Anthony E. Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn, and Ann Donahue created CSI New York.
The forensic scientist team investigates strange, unusual, and mysterious deaths in order to determine the person that killed the person, the reason behind the murder, and aids in solving all kinds of serious crimes including rape. In most episodes the show focues on one single case instead of two or three cases. Some of the same characters have also been seen in other CSI relatated shows.
The theme song for CSI New York is "Baba O’Riley†by The Who.

During the first season of CSI: New York during 2004 – 2005 the show ranked #21 with 13.5 million viewers, the second sesaon 2005 – 2006 it ranked #22 with 14.0 million viewers, and in the last season 2006 – 2007 in ranked #23 with 13.9 million viewers.
