Flavor of Love is a dating game reality show in the Unied Stated. Flavor Flav of the rap group Public Enemy is the star of this dating show.
Flavor of Love was created by Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin. The show was part of VH1's Celebreality lineup which originally ran from January 1, 2006 until October 29, 2006.
During the filiming contestants live in a mansion and are put through various challenges while Flavor Flav chooses to keep or eliminate them. He has help in making these decisions from his bodyguard, butler, and chauffeur, "Big Rick". He is also assisted by his mother, and his former romantic partner Brigitte Nielsen.
The entire series is very similar to that of The Bachelor in which contestants were elimated during a Rose Ceremony except in the Flavor of Love the ceremony is referred to as the clock ceremony where contestants who were not eliminated were gold clocks to wear around their necks with their picture on them.
Flavor gives each contestant a nickname and this nickname is used throughout the show until they are eliminated at which time their real name is revealed.
Winner from Season One was Nicole Alexander “Hoopz†with 20 contestants and 11 episodes.
Winner from season Two was Chandra Davis "Deelishis" with 20 contestants and 12 episodes.
Flavor of Love ran for 2 seasons with 23 episodes.
