The Oprah Show also knowns as Oprah and The Oprah Winfrey Show is a nationally syndicated talk show hosted and produced by Oprah Winfrey. As of this date, this is he highest rated talk show in the history of American television.
Since its premier on September 8, 1986 there have been 3,049. Not only is the Opray show the highest rated talk show but it is also the longest running daytime talk show in the United States now holding a record of 20 seasons. Oprah has just agreed to keep the show going until 2011 which will be her 25th season. In an interview with Larry King, in 2007, Oprah said that 2011 would be the end of the contract and she would stop there and end the show with 25 seasons.
The Oprah Show was added to Time Magazine’s list of best television series of the 20th in 1998 and it made it to the top 50 of TV Guide’s list for the greatest shows of all times in 2002.
