The Bachelorette is a dating reality television dating game show that is a spin off from the Bachelorette. The Bachelorette premiered on January 8, 2003 on ABC.
The plot of the show is one Bachelorette is chosen and 25 men compete for the prize Bachelorette. The audience watch as the Bachelorette of the season goes on a series of dates with each man and in some cases group dates. At the end of each episode, one man is eliminated during what is called the Rose Ceremony. At the end of the season, the Bachelorette will choose which one of the men left she would like to continue on with a relationship.
The way in which a contestant is eliminated is through their date performance in reference to the way in which they relate to the Bachelorette during the dating process. In this manner, one Bachelor will be eliminated in each episode during the Rose Ceremony in which she presents a rose to each man she wishes to stay in the competition.

Trisha Rehn chose Ryan Sutter at the end of season 1. They were married on Television in December of 2003.
Meredith Phillips chose Ian McKee, however the relationship ended in February 2005.
Jennifer Schefft chose Andrew Firestone but then broke up with him and chose Jerry in a live final ceremony. Jeff did propose to Jennifer but she turned him down.
